Different Versions

I have been try to get Samba to work. When I did rmp -qa | grep samba this is what I got:

kdebase3-samba-3.5.1-69.29
samba-krb-printing-3.0.22-13.16
yast2-samba-client2.13.24.2-0.2
samba-pdb-3.0.22-13.16
samba-windbind-3.0.22-13.23
samba-python-3.0.22-13.16
yast2-samba-server-2.13.11-1.3
samba-client-3.0.22-13.23
samba-3.0.22-13.23
samba-vscan-0.3.6b-42.16
samba-doc-3.0.22-20.30

as you can see the client is a different version. Shouldn't it be the same version? How can I uninstall these and do a clean install?

it's better, but not always essential, to use teh same exact versions yes. just grab a replacement RPM and install it over the top - "rpm -Uvh samba-whatever.rpm". assuming that you got all these versions for the same distro i' suggest upgrading the majority, not downgrading the few.
