Difference in Xorg & XFree86

I've tried to figure this one out for a while now and I just don't get it.
Can someone list any differences, benifits, drawbacks, features, ect.. between these two?

Xorg was a fork of the Xfree86-4.4rc (release candadite) cvs code. At the time, Xfree dicided to change thier license and it upset alot in the OSS community. Basically, Xorg-6.7.x and Xfree-4.4 are the same (there are a few changes but not much).

Xorg-6.8.x did add some new features however and it looks like (to me) they are going on a stricter release schedule than Xfree.
