Hi, There are quite a few differences between KDE and GNOME.
Mainly, Gnome is developed with GTK(+), and KDE is developed with QT(cute) now in version 4.
There are many others, but their similarities are what make them the top window managers for gnu/linux.
Both offer tools and programs required to run a productive desktop system for pc, mac and other hardware platforms.
Hope this helps, Regards, Glenn

Another of the one liner, looks like homework, questions to which there isn't really a good answer. (Just like rimpy715's previous, actually.)

Everything.
Honestly, just google it, or install both and compare them yourself.
