diffenerce between whereis an which???????
 
When I use "whereis" and "which" ,I can only find software ,but I can't find any other files like ***.txt.
who can tell me how to use whereis and which to find files ,expecially folders !

you can't find txt files and the like with whereis or which. See
man whereis
man which

The easiest is to use a graphical file manager like konqueror and serach there.

I think you would have better luck using find or locate. They will search for any file type. Just run "man find" or "man locate" for the syntax.

At first , thanks for your help !!
But what I want to do, was not finding the files ,but study how to use these two orders .
