Did a Recent Update to Firefox Break Location Sharing

Today, it appears that location sharing is no longer working for either HULU or Google maps. I suspect that something happened to Firefox that disabled location sharing. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 and Firefox 72.0.2.

PS: I did recheck the location setting in Firefox under preference to verify that it is still correct. It is.

I received the following response from the Firefox help page. Unfortunately the link to that response did not work.

Quote:

That appears to be a problem with Firefox from the repositories that doesn't seem to include the Mozilla Location Service Key and doesn't offer an alternative. You can check that on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

You will have to use Firefox from the Mozilla server. Note that current is Firefox 73.0.1.

Since posting this thread, I have been following a series of links to find a potential solution. This one appears suitable for Firefox under Ubuntu. FirefoxNewVersion/MozillaBuilds. Now I'm debating whether to go with this approach, or to simply wait till the Ubuntu repository is updated.

It is a confirmed bug. Geolocation not working − the Google maps API always returns error codes Edit
