Can anyone suggest a good diary/journal program.
I'm need something that can allow a user to make several diaries, with a little security I guess.
Thanks in advance.

i don't know about good and i've never had a thought about using journal software, so take this link with a grain of salt.

gtk+journal looks promising.

Thanks megaspaz. Found that link too when I googled,
anyway found more or less what I needed.
Saw two programs which approximated what I needed, even better, they connect to online journal sites e.g. livejournal.com (that way my logs won't be erased if ever I forget to back it up before a reinstall - happened mostly to me in windows)
1. drivel (which I compiled and ran but couldn't connect)
2. logjam - worked perfectly (except it didn't detect libgtkhtml though I still compiled it anyway), even allows you to make an offline copy of the journal, complete with calendar, easy to use with multiple journals
