dhcpv6 configuration issue
Hello,
I'm new here on this forum. I hope I posted in the right place.
I have the following problem and please help me with some hints.
I succeed to configure a dhcpv6 server and client using ipv6. It was working with the server and client installed and configured on a Centos 5. The client - server link was made using a switch or directly.
After this I wanted to change a bit the configuration. I added a router between the server and the client. Two interfaces configured with different ip classes for routeing.
The problem is the following: The solicit message is coming from the client, forwarded by the router to server. The server is responding with status code: not on link . The client gets an ip address, a mix between the prefix from the pool addresses and the MAC address.
The curious case is that this ip address taken by the client is valid for making ping6 on the dhcp server.
Please help me with some hints.
