When I try to start my openvpn server ir receive this error:
Mon Aug 21 07:27:30 2006 Cannot open etc/openvpn/openvpn/keys/dh1024.pem for DH parameters: error:02001002:system library:fopen:No such file or directory: error:2006D080:BIO routines:BIO_new_file:no such file
Mon Aug 21 07:27:30 2006 Exiting
Has anyone else had this problem?
My server.conf file points to the correct place where the file is located.
I successfully started the server the first time. This error happened after I tried to restart.
I've seen some posts on this subject on other forums, but no solutions.

Rep:
- your config does say /etc/openvpn... right? (leading /)
- are you trying to start the service as root?
- you have checked file permissions of the files?

Rep:
what distro are you running on?
did you install via a package or did you build from source?
did you make the certs and dh using the openssl command or using scripts that came with openvpn?
Problem solved. I changed the route to the dh1024.pem file back to the original route from the sample config file, and saved it. Tried to start OpenVPN. No good. Then I changed it back to the location where the file resides on my machine, saved it, and tried to start OpenVPN again. It worked. Don't ask me to explain it. It's working now. I guess that's all I can ask for.
