Device Access

I have Nero Linux 3 installed on F9. When I open the program I get a msg that some of my devices are not accessible and to check that I have permission to use those devices.

/dev/sg0 (SCSI Generic Device)
/dev/sg1 (SCSI Generic Device)
/dev/sg2 (SCSI Generic Device)
/dev/sg3 (SCSI Generic Device)

How do I resolve this in F9?

Thanks

chmod 666 /dev/sg0

See if that works.

Thought it would work. Just not sure if it would stay after reboot. If it does not then you can add those command lines to your /etc/rc.local file. let me know if it remains user accessible after reboot.

Nero cannot access devices

I too have this problem
I added the lines

# chmod 666 /dev/sg0
# chmod 666 /dev/sg1
# chmod 666 /dev/sg2
# chmod 666 /dev/sg3

after doing typing in the Mandriva 2010.0 Control centre terminal in root
to
# gedit /etc/rc.local as you suggested before the " at the end of the parenthesis, but on boot up the problem still persists.
Any ideas?

I have two burners a DVD-WR and CDWR.
