dev test area

Hi,

I have a website.

I need to set up a dev area that will allow me to restrict to which file(s) the developer will have access to.

It does not matter how the developer accesses the file(ftp, scp, web, etc)

Does anyone know of something like?

Thanks

How about restricting file permissions? But sure it would not restrict for web access, because web server is executed with other user than the developers. Web app will need to check if the developer have enough perms.
