/dev/mixer none existint

I looked through /dev/ file to find mixer becuase My .cedega config file says thats where my audio source is... I have no /dev/mixer... is this cruticial to playing games and how do I get it installed?

Have you loaded the sound mixer module?

modprobe snd-mixer-oss
