Desktop Nautilus settings

Today I installed Debian 3.1 to have a look what has changed since the last release (and there is a lot). I am using GNOME at the moment but there is one thing that is annoying me. When you start Nautilus via one of the desktop shortcuts, it pops up with no location bar! I like to be able to see where I am at any particular time so how do I enable this? The usual 'view' menu options aren't there and I don't want to just launch the 'File Manager' shortcut from the applications menu every time.
It must be possible but while I was searching for the result, I couldn't find anything. So, does anybody know how to re-enable the location bar?

It's probably not just the location bar that's disappeared. Nautilus will also open a new window for every folder you double-click (right?)

To change this behaviour go to Edit-->Preferences and select the Behaviour tab. There should be an option that reads 'Always open in browser windows'. You'll have your location bar back and the browser behaviour.

Yes, that is what I mean. I'll give that solution a go right now.

EDIT: Yes, it worked, thanks.
