Maybe i am new thou but i would unistall perl-5.8.0-88 and install
perl-base-5.8.0-19mdk.i586.rpm.
Then install your karamba 0.17-4-mdk.i586.rpm maybe.
Not sure as i am new but makes sence.

Have you tried to install the latest Superkaramba? There's a new Red Hat rpm on www.kde-look.org.

JIV, try rpm.pbone.net and find the correct karamba version for your distro. also you can try "superkaramba" an improvement of karamba.
