then you're SOL. dell's bios are pretty crippled in terms of user access to low level functions. the only way to upgrade a dell bios for a particular dell model, is to go to dell's website and get it. if that guy doesn't have the bios for your model, then your SOL. and you're taking a chance whether going with dell or with some guy on the net (not recommended) when doing a bios upgrade. a bad bios upgrade, and your computer is unbootable. and if your dell didn't come with a floppy ( you talking 3 1/2" floppy? ), you don't need to upgrade your bios for that. buy an external floppy ( IIRC, dell has stopped distrobution of floppy drives) and install the drivers for it.
