Defragging NTFS W*ndows hard drive to make a openSUS* partition.

I currently can't open W*ndows because of file problems, so I am running on a openSUS* LiveCD. I tried making another partition on my hard drive so that I can install openSUS*. Problem is that I can't make the partition because my hard drive is too fragmented. So, my question is, is there a program that I can use to defragment my hard drive so that I can install openSUS* as a second OS, since I can't use the W*ndows defragger for the time being?

Nope - not safely that I'm aware of.
The ntfsprogs tools won't touch a NTFS filesystem that has errors - you need to chkdsk it from Windoze. Once it is in a consistent state, the Linux tools are excellent; better than the Windoze equivalents.
You can over-ride with force, but I wouldn't recommend that ...

So my only safe option would be to find a W*ndows start-up disk and correct the errors... That might take awhile because, no one I know knows where they put their disk, and I really don't want to loose all my data.
