Debian3.0rc2 unable to recognize Promise 378 SATA hard drive????

Hello there! I'm trying to install Debian3.0 rc2 on my computer. I've a K8TNeo Mobo and also have a single Promise 378 SATA hard-drive . The problem is when i boot with the Debian, it boots up properly but failed to recognize my harddrive. it says:

No harddrive could be found...You may have to change driver settings when you start the system with a command at the "boot:" prompt or you may have to load a driver that is in a loadable module to solve this problem.

I donno how to do that. i checked Debian's website and found it very confusing. Can anyone kindly help me by providing step by step instruction? I also Googled on this matter but they don't mention this problem.

Thanks.

I think you can't use the installer from 3.0 to install on SATA disks. Try the new debian installer (beta) from http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/
