Iam trying to install X-windows on my laptop which has debain linux installed.Its not taking the Display settings can any one help me in configuring the display on my Laptop....
Hardware info always helps.. other than that, please don't make us guess at such things. Also, your title sucks, I've reported this post to have it changed to a more descriptive title.
First you'll have to tell us what steps you have done, what distro you are using, and possibly post some sections of your xorg.conf (assuming you are using xorg and not xfree86).
