i have configured the vedio card (didnt know much about the slots or other technical specs but i went for the default values the setup produced) and following is the output in cli

please advice.

2. I have downloaded the Lenny netinstall but want to know if i shall be able to use dsl on that for further package install?

if your DSL is connected to your machine via ethernet then yes absolutely it should work, and yes you will have access to all the packages for Debian via the Internet.

I have installed Lenny through minimal install and the rest through dsl. Debian is awsome! It is the most crisp in looks, stability and responsiveness. Though it took more than five hours to download the rest of the packages but it is worth waiting!!!

Might have taken 5 hours over your connection.. but it would have probably taken longer to download all the DVD's or CD to do the install. Witht he Netinstall you have the latest and greatest with all the updates right out of the gate.

Enjoy your new Debian box !!
