debian sarge + anjuta
 

Hello i just installed anjuta on a debian sarge system and a 2.6.8 kenel

and i cant create any gnome projects, there 's an error when he runs automake
have you ideas please ?

I just figured this out. Technically, this is probably a Debian packaging bug.

You need all the gnu autotools, which they do kind of tell you, but seriously I wonder why all those are not dependencies in the first place, because anjuta isn't much use without them.

So you go out and install gettext and automake and libtool etc etc...

What they don't make much of a point of telling you is that anjuta is using autopoint from the libtools package, and that requires CVS (which they specifically didn't make a dependency of libtool). So when you go to make a project in anjuta you still get some bogus errors about intl/Makefile.in and other nonsense regarding the intl directory.

If you install CVS all the problems go away.

Package maintainer needs to update the dependencies for anjuta to include CVS, even if not the rest of the gnu tools you should have.

Anyone filed a bug with them yet?
