debian no updates

so ive got this problem. i just recently installed debian 5.01 to try it out. i havnt done anything so far with it, but when i try to update it via the commands apt-get update/apt-get upgrade it says theres nothing to upgrade. i thought there was something wrong with the repos but its been doing this for a couple days. i find it hard to believe theres no updates. everything else is fine.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

5.01 is the stable version, so there might not have been any changes. Try again in a few days. With Debian, you only get frequent updates with the testing version.

Good. The only lines that need commenting out with a # are those referring to the CD or DVD.
