debian install from win/hdd

Hi all! I'm an ultra-newbie and I'd appreciate a little help.... I would like to try out and install Debian on my PC but I would basically be installing from my dos partition.... I have downloaded the rescue, kernel, drivers, base, rawrite2, loadlin, and root...

Have I missed anything? I've tried out Slack and it was easy... just made a loopback and that was it... With Deb, I'm a bit more anxious....
