Debian FTP server

hi, i just got a dedicated server and have installed counter strike on it, that works fine. So i no a few basics of the linux OS. But i need to install and get an FTP server running on debian, how do i do this? i have already downloaded some programes, looked at them on my SHH client and its just a huge list of names and files, i cant work out which 1 runs it lol. so i need a n00bish guide as well.

You should probably try:
apt-get install pure-ftpd
