Debian 7.2 for both(hypothetically no working network): set my laptop to have (Linux#1) a minimal netinst (1-CD 222 MB)\CLI for battery use and (Linux#2) 3-DVD\KDE++
install for plugged in use. I knew it would not work just adding:
Code:
deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 7.2.0 _Wheezy_ - Official amd64 DVD Binary-1 20131012-14:05]/ wheezy contrib main
deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 7.2.0 _Wheezy_ - Official amd64 DVD Binary-2 20131012-14:05]/ wheezy contrib main
deb cdrom:[Debian GNU/Linux 7.2.0 _Wheezy_ - Official amd64 DVD Binary-3 20131012-14:05]/ wheezy contrib main
from one /etc/apt/sources.list to the other but I tried it anyway...
Looking at /apt from the netinst I see:
Code:
ls *
sources.list sources.list~ trustdb.gpg trusted.gpg
apt.conf.d:
00CDMountPoint 00trustcdrom 01autoremove 70debconf
preferences.d:
sources.list.d:
trusted.gpg.d:
debian-archive-squeeze-automatic.gpg debian-archive-wheezy-automatic.gpg
debian-archive-squeeze-stable.gpg debian-archive-wheezy-stable.gpg
and from KDE side:
Code:
ls *
listchanges.conf sources.list~ trustdb.gpg
sources.list sources.list.save trusted.gpg
apt.conf.d:
00CDMountPoint 01autoremove 20dbus 50unattended-upgrades 99synaptic
00trustcdrom 10periodic 20listchanges 70debconf
preferences.d:
sources.list.d:
trusted.gpg.d:
debian-archive-squeeze-automatic.gpg debian-archive-wheezy-automatic.gpg
debian-archive-squeeze-stable.gpg debian-archive-wheezy-stable.gpg
my first thought is to backup the netinst /apt and then copy parts from the other but I know that's not right or not sure if there is a better way?
Any help would be appreciated.
