DDD parameters`?

I've been programming in lnx for about 6 months now, and I'm having difficulty debugging my programs. I use anjuta as IDE, but the debugger crashes now and then. Now I'm using DDD, but I'm don't know how to set the program parameters? I need to define a port number, but I don't see this option?
Is there any other good debugger, besides DDD? (do not want to use text based... )

Regards Jnusa
