DC++ doesn't show user names with winetools

I just installed Mandrake 10.1 and tried DC-GUI which seemed to be troublesome when downloading.

I then installed wine-20041019, winetools-2.11 and DC++ 0.668

Until running DC++ everything was fine. There is no crash or abnormal termination of the program.

- However in DC++, when connected to a hub, user list on the right doesn't show users connected to hub. There are user icons but user names are missing.

- Same thing occurs in the search window

- Also in transfer window

I first thought that this might be a font problem and installed all the fonts on the list of winetools. uninstalled DC and reinstalled again. But that didn't work.

I need help terribly

Thanks a lot in advance

I've experienced the same problems and dont think DC++ works under WINE.
There is a linuxdc++, which can be downloaded here, but it's difficult to compile.

There is a linuxdc++, which can be downloaded here, but it's difficult to compile.
If that one gives you difficulties, you can also get dctc here and use the dc_qt front end from here
As long as you have the proper packages installed (mostly the ones to run anything qt, and I think you need some for "Berkely db" which should be in the mandrake cds if you search the packages for db) I don't know how that installation compares to the other, but I didn't find it too bad. The only problem is that the settings for dc_qt may require some odd options ( This may help )
Between the two versions that scuzzman and I suggested you should be able to get one running.

Hope this helped
