dbase IV using dosemu

Hello everyone,

I've got an old dbase IV dos application running on dosemu in linux slackware.
When i want to print a document from that application it doesn't print at al.
When i use copy con LPT1: it does and from edit too. Why can't i print from that application has someone an answer???

nobody knows anything about the good old days of dbase4? does anyone know how a dbase4 app actually tries to print anything? and how to emulate this using dosemu?

Sorry - I use Q&A 4.0 but don't even have a printer hooked up, so haven't tried to print with dosemu.

If you've got printing working, it sounds like a dbase issue. Q&A (completely different, I know, but still...) has a printer/port/model definition. I guess just make sure dbase is looking for lpt1 and isn't trying to do anything fancy with it.

Maybe this and the rest of the thread will help? Or other stuff at google/linux.
