Database File Management

Hi everybody,

does anyone out there happen to know a linux application that enables me to just put all my files (pictures, documents, old Corel files, etc.) into one folder and assign categories to them? I am just about going mad with the amount of files I have. Folders simply don't do the job any longer. I've been searching the web on that subject for a while but so far I have not found a solution to it yet.

Perhaps this may help: http://ozy.student.utwente.nl/projects/dbfs/

Hi Chessforce,

Yeah, I read about this one before. I was tempted to try it out, but there is a chance that it will mess up my entire system. That's why I wanted to look for a less "radical" approach before trying. Has anybody gathered some experience with DBFS? Does it deliver what it promises?
