Hi All,
I want to use something better than Picassa to modify my raw photos. Mainly to change the light and a bit of touching up
I have never used Lightroom but was going to buy it but mayble Darktable would be better.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
Have it installed, seems more stable with latest upgrades, why not give it a try? personally I use much gimp and digikam to edit photos. To view photos also gwenview.

I have been using Darktable for a little while now. I'm not a highly skilled post-processor by any means, but it does seem to be a very capable tool set.
It also has quite good on-line docs.
I am using it in Fedora 22 x86-64, and have been building rpms from the latest git source without any problems, so expect that the release version (I think the current is 1.6.8) should be quite stable.
Hope that helps.

Terry thanks for that.
I installed in last week on mint installation was not that easy and using it the first time was difficult. However it is great I strongly recommend that people use it.
