darktable 2.2.x on CentOS 7

I was using darktable 2.0.7 successfully on CentOS 7 with my Canon 6D.

Recently I switched to Canon 5D IV and it seems that this camera is only supported with darktable version 2.2.x - which is out but not available for CentOS since about 1 year.

Does anybody know when there will be a new darktable-package available for CentOS? I tried to compile it once .. but there are a lot of libraries needed - it failed along the way (not a linux expert) ..

thanks

In the source package there should be a README or INSTALL file that tells you which dependencies the package has. Centos is the free RHEL, so it doesn't have cutting edge versions of anything. However, you can at least view the dependencies and check if they're available in the centos repos.

I found this: https://www.centos.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=60345

It looks like you *might* be able to get a better version of it through yum - scroll down to the bottom of the thread.
