Dansguardian - Won't filter new addresses added to filter list
 

Hello All,

I have had a Fedora 8 box running squid with dansguardian to provide additional filtering on the school network that I administer.

I originally configurted DG to use the filter lists as recommend by the DG site.

This setup has been and site is working, but I have now discovered a slight problem.

When I add a new domain to the filter lists, the students are still able to access the now "filtered" domains. The original domains are filtered though, so, DG is reading the filter lists.

I have restarted the DG service as per the instructions to make sure that DG reloads the updated filter lists, as well as rebooting the hardware.

Has anyone else had this problem ?? Can anyone make any suggestions as to how I can resolve the issue?

Please post the contents of the error log / logs file so we can see what the problem is

I suggest the log files from SQUID and DANSGUARDIAN
as well as your configuration files
