Damn booting! ´HLT´ instructions are driving me crazy!
 

:mad: Hi there. I have a damn instalation problem (or may be a booting problem). I´ve tried booting from cdrom and from diskette with Conectiva, Red Hat 6, 7.1 and it always hangs booting at the following message: "Checking ´hlt´ instructions..."
If anyone knows what it could be please help me. Thanks in advance and forgive my poor english.

Try using no-hlt at the installation prompt. Go here if you want an explanation of the problem. Scroll down to the heading The `no-hlt' Argument .
