Unhappy daemontools installation issue

Hello.
I installed daemonstools on Ubuntu 16.10 from this page:
http://cocnm.computerisms.ca/index.p...ll_Daemontools
and got error:
Code:
failed to create symbolic link '/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/daemontools.service': File exists
Whats wrong?
How to fix it?
Regards.
Mark.

Apparently the link target exists (i.e. there is a /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/daemontools.service file).

Run the following to verify
Code:
ls -l /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/daemontools.service

Code:
ls -l /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/daemontools.service
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 39 Apr  3 13:54 /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/daemontools.service -> /etc/systemd/system/daemontools.service
Howto check if daemontools is running?

So daemontools are running, but there are errors in age.errors. firefo, iptables run scripts, so they are always restarting

@bathory

If you allow me one more question.
I have to self teach everything about daemontools on newest Ubuntu and Debian (with systemd)
Do you have any valuable link to daemontools step after step guide, tutorial ?
Briefly, I lost to much time reading in Internet obsolete, incomplete stuff.
I am very grateful for your help.

Ps. I hope, i found something:
- http://cr.yp.to/daemontools.html
- https://technik.blogbasis.net/bernst...ten-08-09-2013

I'm sorry but I've used daemontools to monitor a qmail installation on Slackware (no systemd here), so I cannot help you on this.
But I'm sure you can use your favorite search engine to find some nice documentation like this (skip to making services)

Regards
