custom resolution in Kooka?

In Kooka, is there any way to specify a custom scanner resolution? It seems to offer only 75, 150, 300, 600, 1200 and 2400. 75 dpi is too low, but 150 is higher than I need. I'd like to try 100.

I am wondering which version of Kooka you use. I can use the slider to get any resolution, even 317 dpi or so, and I can enter a number in the input box. Maybe your scanner does not support anything but standard resolutions and Kooka is smart enough to recognize that?

Is scanning at a higher res and converting the image later with ImageMagick a solution for you?

I guess that's the next best thing, yes. Imagemagick? Is that better than Gimp?--Gimp is what I have. About Kooka...mine says it is version 0.44.

My Kooka is 0.44 as well.

ImageMagick is command line and therefor much faster to use is you have to convert multiple images.

However, I thought that IM was able to convert an image to a given resolution, but as it seems you cannot. You can resize the image however to a given amount of pixels, which means that you'd have to calculate the image size in pixels based on the dimension in inches to end up with the correct dpi.
