CUPS service failing on reboot

Fedora 25 / Gnome 3 / CUPS

Since my last system update, I have found the CUPS service fails to start at reboot, but does start when invoked manually:
Code:
[root@womble doug]# systemctl status cups
 cups.service - CUPS Scheduler
Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/cups.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled)
Active: failed (Result: start-limit-hit) since Mon 2017-04-03 17:13:38 AEST; 6min ago

Looks like a patch has been submitted, so make sure your OS is fully updated...

cups-2.2.0-6.fc25 has been pushed to the Fedora 25 stable repository. If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.

Thanks Ferrari. My cups-config --version reports version 2.2.0. The bugzilla entry at https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1437065 says cups-2.2.0-6.fc25 has been pushed to the Fedora 25 stable repository. How do I get CUPS to report the least significant portion, to see if I have -6? Running dnf update cups reports nothing to do, so either the fix has not hit the Fedora 25 repositories yet, or I have it and it does not work <sigh>. It sounds as though it will fix my problem.

Strange how Dr. Google did not find the reports before I posted - Dr. Google is always perfectly accurate and never makes mistakes <grin>.

The package version can be got from
Code:
rpm -qa|grep cups
It looks like it's still in testing currently (refer comment #9 and #10 of that bug report)

See https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Updates_Testing for
instructions on how to install test updates.
So you can try it as suggested or wait a couple more days.

Oh, dear! rpm -qa | grep cups gives me cups-2.2.0-6.fc25.x86_64 - in other words, I have the patched version. Gak! I'll go to the bug report and add a comment to that effect. Once again, the Linux community rides to the rescue. Thanks for your help.

Double-gak! I posted my response "Bug still exists ..." etc to the above bug report thread, then realised it should have gone to the above askfedora thread. Had to apologise. Grovel. Just posting this to encourage people to watch what they are doing. "8-[
