Cups problems...

Why CUPS is auto disable the printers sometimes?? i have that use the command "enable" for activate. Then printers always is ON and ready.
This printers are via LPR and lp. My linux is a Suse 9.

LPR is incompatible with CUPS. Take LPR off and just use CUPS.

CUPS will disable the printer if it can't talk to it.....loose USB cable? Lots of other USB devices?
