CUPS + Cannon BJC-250ex; Wrong margins

I just installed a Cannon BJC-250ex printer and the drivers for it. It prints stuff just fine except the entire page is shifted too far to the left (like 1mm from the edge of the page) and the right side gets cut off about 3/4" away from the edge of the paper. Top and bottom margins are ok though. Ideas?

Where did you get your drivers from? You could try the ppd file from this page:
http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_pr...anon-BJC-250ex

Typically it goes in /etc/cups/${printerName}.ppd where ${printerName} is what you called your printer in cups setup. Make sure to not overwrite your current ppd.

Also: have you experimented to see if this problem is specific to a particular app/desktop environment indicating a software problem rather than printer problem? Is the left margin still messed when you run:
Code:
echo "a single line of text which should be printed" > /dev/lp0
