Hi!
I am in the process of converting my family to linux, and have run into a very annoying problem. I can't get anything but OpenOffice to print. The jobs get to cups, but are immediately aborted. When I try to restart them, I receive the infamous and useless client-error-not-possible message. CUPS won't even print its own test page. My printer is an HP PSC 750xi. I am using the hpoj driver and a foomatic/hpijs ppa with CUPS 1.1.20. I have checked printer communication, and it appears to work. btw, I'm using Gentoo (stage1). Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Well I fixed this problem. Cups docs (or some docs somewhere) said to put ppd files in /usr/share/cups/model but when I moved ppd file to /etc/cups/ppd/${printername}.ppd it worked fine.
