cups and gimp-print problems
Hi!
I have redhat 9 and I’m new in the linux world. I compiled gimp-print 4.6 and alpha 5.0 in order to get the right driver for my Epson Stylus C64. But I wasn’t able to get my printer working properly. After that I found in Internet the rpm for my printer from the Epson web site: The file is: pips-sc64_63s-cups-2.6.2-1.i386.rpm Before install this rpm I did make uninstall of the gimp-print 4.6 and alpha 5.0. I use the 631 port to configure my printer but even now the printer doesn’t work. My question are: (1) Is there a conflict problem because I install gimp-print before and then the rpm? (Because may be I didn’t uninstall the gimp-print driver properly) (2) How can I make my printer work? May be reinstall cups rpm? (3) Where can I check (in which log file) what is exactly my printer problem? Thank you very much for your help, Smau. |
