Cs Server


I'm currently behind a d-link 604 router and i want to host a cs server ...but i cant seem to get it right ive configured the router but it still doesnt work....

... in other words how do i put my comp in front of the router so internet people can join the server (ive got everything installed -including amx mod already) every time i start the server under ip it says loopback

mind posting what the cs server says when it starts up?

you should have no problem running CS behind your router (i used to run 5 HL servers including CS behind my D-link 704 router)


simply goto the router config and forward the port your CS server is running on (typically 27015) to your linux server's IP.

you can find the IP of your linux server by going to console while root and typing ifconfig. the CS server can run on the loopback connection and be fine under normal circumstances...
