cryptsetup-luks question

Hello,

I installed cryptsetup-luks the other day because I switched distros and I need to get files off of an encrypted file of mine. When I run 'cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/loop encr-enc' it gives me a 'no backend available' error. What does this mean?

Try loading the module (as root) before:

modprobe dm-crypt

depending on your distro you can auto load it during boot process.

darn I got really excited when I saw that thinking that had to be the answer but I got:

# cryptsetup luksOpen /dev/loop0 encr-enc
Command failed: No setup backend available

Any other ideas?

Thanks, I actually found the same solution on a mandriva forum. Now if I could just get the rpm to build w/o giving me stupid dependency errors even though the packages are there...
