crux os - not pulling right IP

I am using virtual box. I am running the latest version of Crux. My network interface is up, and has a IP, but not one that is handed out by my dhcp server. It has a 10.x address, while my server hands out a 192.x address. What is handing out this address? Could it be a missing driver? The interface is set to DHCP.

When you create a new guest the default networking mode is NAT which is basically a virtual router with its on DHCP server. Shutdown the guest and change the network mode from NAT to bridged to put your guest on your LAN just like any other real device.

Did that.
It no longer has an IP now, and the interface is up. Could it be a driver issue, that it can't pull an IP? I know the DHCP server works.

Update: NVM: Just seemed to take some time. Not sure why there was a delay...

I've never had any problems switching from NAT to bridged and as long as you didn't make any other changes to the guest settings or Crux then it should work. I've never tried Crux in a VM yet but I would expect it to behave the same.

I assume your virtual network adapter is the default Intel Pro/1000 and it is configured to use the active physical network adapter?
