cross platform voice conversation software

i would REALLY appreciate a good app because i really hate switching to windows everytime i have to talk to someone. some pointers on how to install it would also be helpful because google showed some software that i had no idea how to aquire and/or install.

Teamspeak has a linux client/server althought ive never tried the linux versions.
