Question cron jobs

I made a short script that is supposed to restart a java program i have made 3 o'clock everynight.

I can see that the script did indeed stop the processes and start them again. But IMMEDIATELY after it has been started all processes dissapairs again.

and yes i know how to script so the script isnt the problem. Something with cron i have missed.

Is cron not starting the script as root?
how do i make cron start the script as root?
etc etc

please give me some ideas i am going nuts over this. =)

Thanks in advance.
