Not an issue, just use something like
Code:
HOSTNAME=`hostname` 
export HOSTNAME
to set it and you are golden. Just make sure the hostname command is in the path.

I have removed the $HOSTNAME variable from the script and set the actual hostname manually. It still strips the lftp output from the log file.

Stripping one command

And is all of the OTHER output from that script appearing in the log file?

That's correct. If you have a raspberry pi you can replicate this easily. It happens on all of my raspberry pi's.

Darn

I have no pi. Cannot replicate this behavior.
It may be something ONLY on that particular lftp for that environment, but that seems unlikely.
I am still leaning on something different about the environment under cron, but without an environment like that under cron on pi I cannot test more than I have.

Let us home someone else chimes in with more information.

Meanwhile: there are other ways to do the transfer that are likely to log properly. You might experiment with a few to accomplish your goal another way.
