creating shortcuts in the menu bar


hi everyone,
i have made a small application using java and pgsql, now i want to create a shortcut for running my application in the linux start menu bar, can anyone tell me if is it possible??
if so then how shall i go about it

I'm going to assume KDE, since your profile says "Mandrake."
Go to the Control Center.
Taskbar.
Edit K Menu.

Should look something like this.
