creating shared library from C++ source

I have the C++ source code for a windows ActiveX control, I was wondering how i'd go about turning this source code into a shared library in LInux?

Here is a link to the source code I'm talking about: http://www.geocities.com/darkfalz_83/legosrc.zip

The first thing you would need to do is remove all of the Windows code from it and replace it qith the equivalent Linux code. None of the OLE stuff will not work for a start and there are other things in there too.
What exactly does the code do? Does it send raw opcodes to the RCX?

Sorry for the delayed response, but yes, it sends commands to the RCX. I used to use it in Visual Basic to control little lego robots. However, I've now moved over to Linux, and am hoping to be able to do the same thing, but in languages like C and REALbasic.

You may want to have a look at the NQC code to see how to do it. I think that the NQC executable can take a -raw argument which can send raw opcodes to the RCX. I doubt you'll be able to do it in BASIC though.
