creating fat32 help please

I am being told to create a fat32 partition using all of the existing freespace(space that is not a partition yet is what i mean) on this computer. There is only one harddrive. I tried cfdsik. That tells me there are several types of fat32 including win95 hidden something. I do not know what any of that is. All I want is a normal fat32 partition that uses up the remaining freespace on this computer. Can anyone help please?

As the first responder stated, you will most likely want to use partion type 'c' , which is 'W95 FAT32 (LBA)'. This only created a partion, you would still have to format it to fat32 you mkfs.vfat I think
