Create new Desktop

I own a PC on which I am working with the Linux.
I deleted some of the icons on my Linux Mandrake 7.2 for one of the user accounts and am trying to bring them back. Please help me.

More info needed

What desktop/window manager are you using? This always helps cause each desktop/wm does things a little differently.

most /home directories for users have a desktop directory where you can add any icons for shortcuts and such there that will appear then on your desktop. well, to my knowledge that is.
