create iso

I know that with the command line: dd if = /dev/cdrom of = /tmp/cdimg1.iso I create an image of a cd/dvd.

But Nobody knows about a program that do this without have that be in the console?

Actually, I'm not sure whether "dd" creates a viable .iso or not ...

But the command you're looking for is good old k3b:
