cpu benchmark software for linux


I'd like to benchmark some cpu's.
Is there anything available that runs in linux x86_64?
i looked up passmark which does cpubenchmark.net and it looks like they only support windows.

Also, the Phoronix Test Suite comes with a bunch of benchmarks that can be used for CPU comparison.

ended up using nbench-byte

had too many problems with everything else, phoronix requires an internet connection which was a problem.
